Married to - Aleuranthropy

I'm an award-winning Horror Artist, Warlock in the one-and-only Church of Satan and married to CoS Member and Photographer, Aleuranthropy. For years I made the hand-painted Sigil of Baphomet Altarpieces that were available on CoSEmporium.com.

Art, creating and admiring. Other interests include extremely hot sauces and very spicy foods, cats, New Orleans and Mobile history, Mardi Gras (in concept, aesthetics and history, sans experiencing), old-time Burlesque, Horror in any form, Halloween, creole-style cheesecake, Scrabble, dressing nicely, crurophilia and women in stockings, and a plethora of other things.

A wide but discriminating variety. There are some easy favorites like Tom Waits, King Diamond, Mercyful Fate, Little Willie John, Jelly Roll Morton, The Misfits, Acid Bath, Cannibal Corpse, Paradise Lost, Pantera, Anthrax, and several others. Genres that I enjoy include Classical, pre-1930s Jazz (and most anything from the early 20th century), Metal, Goth, Punk, Oldies, pre-1980s Country, some Electronic, and a few other things.

Mostly Horror, from silent classics to 80s slashers. Favorite directors include Hitchcock, Melies, David Lynch, Ingmar Bergman, George A. Romero, Lucio Fulci, Dario Argento, John Waters, The Coen Bros., Todd Solondz, Andrew Blake and several others. Favorite actors include Bela Lugosi, Vincent Price, Christopher Lee, Max von Sydow, Aria Giovanni, Peter Cushing, Boris Karloff, Peter Lorre, Christy Canyon, Carol Ohmart, Vampira, and numerous others.

In general I enjoy reading history, art (monographs, history, technique, etc.), science, philosophy, and some Horror fiction. There are obvious favorites such as Anton LaVey, Peter H. Gilmore, Blanche Barton and James D. Sass. Some specific authors/titles include David J. Skal (Death Makes a Holiday; The Monster Show; Hollywood Gothic), Nietzsche (The Antichrist; Beyond Good and Evil), Philippe Aries' The Hour of Our Death, William Mortensen's Monsters and Madonnas, Jeffrey S. Victor's Satanic Panic, Richard Matheson (Hell House; I Am Legend), Neil deGrasse Tyson's Death by Blackhole, Mary Shelley's Frankenstein, Bram Stoker's Dracula, and many more.
