These were the days!

When Britain ruled the waves by administering a bit of Satanic might over its adversaries!

Launched in 1765, HMS Victory remained in service for 34 years. As the Flagship of The Royal Navy she had her most famous moment during Britain's most glorious military victory in history - at The Battle Of Trafalgar where she suffered the worst casualties of the allied fleet, losing 57 of her crew.

HMS Victory remains in Portsmouth docks and is still listed as a vessel on active service in The Royal Navy.

I love ships. And having visited the Victory a few times I wondered if any of you would do ole' UV a favour and help vote this glorious bastion of Satanic might Britain's best historic site?

Don't let the masses vote for a fucking cake shop in Baker Street.

Please vote for HMS Victory Here!

Furthermore, if you ever get the chance go and visit the ship. You will not be disappointed. HMS Victory.

Edit: May I remind you that Dr. LaVey loved ships aswell. He would have wanted this.

So even if you don't like Ole' UV - do it for the Doc. ;\)

Voted. You are very persuasive. Even though I get seasick.

Done!

I've toured several historic ships on this side of the pond. One day I'll visit this marvelous ship on your side.

Please post the vote's final results. When all is finished, perhaps the cake shop will be given a consolation prize of catering HMS Victory tours. ;\)

And so it is done! I was a regular visitor to Portsmouth when I was working down that way and boarded HMS Victory a few times. Incidentally, this general area of Portsmouth was used for the location filming of the 1972 Dr Who adventure, ‘The Sea Devils’ staring Jon Pertwee as the Doctor.

As a HUGE Titanic fan, I feel ships that have served and been at the battle-front (no, the Titanic was not a war ship for those who don't know - but her sister ships, Britannic and Olympic were) deserve their place in history and have already won my vote - just for being one of the most elegant, unique and devine ships to have sailed for the Royal Navy.

Well, that did it for me. I voted for HMS Victory for the Doctor .

I voted for the ship, as I'm quite fond of them too and thought the historical value of it far exceeds that of a baker's shop.

I also voted for the HMS Victory, since I had nothing better to do with those three seconds.

I hope it wins by a Satanic landslide!
