This painting deserves the attention of Satanists everywhere in my opinion.

I admit to a high degree of prejudice. I love this work! I even wrote a ritual based specifically upon this painting because the work itself is a ritual.

There are layers upon layers of symbolism here as well as the quaint reminder of the physical abode - no longer in existence on earth - where Satanism was first codified and launched into a startled world.

There are only so many of these available as I understand it. Don't miss this one.

I wholeheartedly agree, Magister! The detail in the piece can't be done justice on the web.

I'm glad I picked this one up early!

An absolute treasure. I have the larger version and I love it.

As has been mentioned, the scans for the Emporium website do not do it its full justice since they do not capture either the quality of the paper it's printed on, nor the proportions captured in the work which serve to give the painting its looming, ominous presence.

Yes I do agree. I have a medium version of the Painting. I look at it when I am on the computer. I know I have seen picture's of the Black House on different site's and book's. I even dreamed that I saw it. I know I will never see it up close??? BUT I have the painting which is very beautiful. The Artist is a Dark God.

Wow Nemo! Thank you for the pleasure. That is absolutely insane to be done in water colors. Compared to the artist Lew Lehrman's other works I found here I would say it is by far his best work yet. You can tell he really spent a lot of time on that one. My second favorite by him I'd have to say is The Devil's Castle. I hope to inhabit it one day! hehehe Ahhh, our lovely lovely possessions.

IF you're willing to share, I'd be interested to hear more about both the ritual and the symbolism you see in the painting. I didn't pick that up from the photo on the Emporium when I have looked at it. I am interested to hear more about what I've been missing. Perhaps a purchase is in order.

I received my copy back from the framer today and it looks fantastic. Not exactly the way I remember the Black House, but... it is definitely a wonderful piece of work. It will hold a place of honor on my walls.
