I admit to a high degree of prejudice. I love this work! I even wrote a ritual based specifically upon this painting because the work itself is a ritual. There are layers upon layers of symbolism here as well as the quaint reminder of the physical abode - no longer in existence on earth - where Satanism was first codified and launched into a startled world. There are only so many of these available as I understand it. I know I have seen picture's of the Black House on different site's and book's. I even dreamed that I saw it. I know I will never see it up close??? BUT I have the painting which is very beautiful. Compared to the artist Lew Lehrman's other works I found here I would say it is by far his best work yet. You can tell he really spent a lot of time on that one. My second favorite by him I'd have to say is The Devil's Castle. I didn't pick that up from the photo on the Emporium when I have looked at it. I am interested to hear more about what I've been missing.
