I've observed that usernames appear in different colors. Is this administrative, or a personal preference?

Surely you've noticed that all CoS members (regardless of rank) are blue (as yours and my names are) and all nonmembers are yellow?

Red is used by administrators, and at one time moderators were colored green (though this has since been changed).

Oh, and there may be the odd pink floating around, that would be someone who was verified as a CoS member prior to the reverification of all CoS members years ago, but never bothered to reverify their membership. Pink was used for CoS members prior to that.

Never mind, it's because I'm on olive skin...

I did forget to mention black, though it's use is rather obvious. Black is sometimes used for those who we've banned. Decidedly not an enviable color.
