I remember reading an article once many years ago about a scientist who had decided to experiment in this area. One of the things that really stuck out was when he wrote about thinking of what might happen if he burned a plant that he had hooked up to an EEG. He states that immediately the needle started to move very quickly in a manner that would indicate a highly agitated state. He thus concluded that plants are telepathic.
I'll have to do some research to see if I can relocate that article. I can't promise that it will be any time soon, though.
