I was expecting his first word to be his name, everytime we pick him up, he hears it

Everyone has been giving mummy sympathy, however mummy has told daddy she feels the same as daddy.

I remember my little girls first word. As clear as a bell she said "BUG!" and pointed at a wood louse! When she saw how happy it made us, she then pointed at me "BUG!" then at Mum "BUG!" then at the dog "BUG!"
Their first words are one of those moments you treasure. My daughter is now 9, and can talk non-stop for about 3 hours without even pausing for breath! We were sharing a hotel room when she was about 6 and we'd had a busy day catching all sorts of weird and wonderful creatures at the sea side. I put her to bed and she lay there excitedly recounting the day's adventures, and fell asleep mid sentence. The next morning, she awoke, and carried on exactly where she'd left off the night before!
Precious times.

Congratulations, Gareth. It must be marvelous to watch your son grow.

Somewhere on this board, I once confessed that my first word was "God". Bill M. then noted that my immediate second word was "Dammit!"

I'd at least like to think so.
