Geez ! America !, what a country ! Probably the only country in the world where exchanging a deadly firearm in order to get a tattoo makes good business sense ! So whats the going rate in the gun/tattoo exchange ratio ?, if it's a large complex tattoo say covering the whole of your back, what would the price be then ?, a rocket propelled grenade ?, a mortar ? And then what if you want it coloured as well ?, what then ?, generous supply of anthrax ?, thermonuclear device in a handy briefcase ? "shucks lurlene that tattoo fella, says he'll do me one a those bafomet's on ma chest, all I got to do is get him a shooter yee haa !"

First of all, I’d like to point out that you say that this guy said he needs a NEW gun. There is quite a difference between needing A GUN and needing a NEW gun. This suggests that he had one before and it got taken away from him due to previous criminal activity. And then the fact that he would need someone else to buy it for him just makes it more obvious.
He seems pretty desperate to get a new gun if he’s going to give you a nice tattoo for free, and if he can afford to give you a free tattoo, then he could certainly afford to buy his own gun if he was allowed to have one. It sounds pretty fishy to me.
Do you really want to have this guy to do your tattoos, or have any further contact with him? How do you know he’s not going to be bribing you to go shoot people for him next? How do you know you are not one of his targets?
I don’t think you should trust this guy. You might want to find someone else to do your tattoos.

Am I the only one who thinks maybe Ascendency meant a tatoo gun and didn't bother to specify? It's pretty common knowledge that tatoo guns are tatoo guns. I think everyone just picked up on the easiest thing to ridicule. Free tatoo gun = free tatoo. Seems likely to me. Just a thought. And one that doesn't seem so far fetched considering the context of this post.

I forgot about that.
You professionals like to call them "machines," right?
A buddy of mine wanted to get a tattoo, but wanted to shop around for prices. After some shopping, he settled on a local tattoo joint called, Tattoo Mafia. Just before the session started he asked the artist how clean his "tattoo gun" was; for just a second, the man looked like he wanted to kill him.
I was fairly amused by the whole situation.
