I practice the mind-cultivating meditations of Buddhism and have incorporated them as a part of my life, in addition to practicing Satanism. People have told me that the two are mutually exclusive, and I have always disagreed.
Does anyone have any thoughts on the subject?
Before I discovered I was actually a Satanist, I considered myself a Buddhist for several years, and used to meditate daily.
From my experience I would wholeheartedly agree with what others have already said in this thread - that one can benefit from certain Buddhist meditation practices without taking on board the beliefs of Buddhism itself.
I, personally, haven't done any meditation for the past couple of years, but don't rule out using it as a tool at some point in the future. For me Hatha Yoga has replaced meditation in my life - I feel it gives me the benefits I got from meditating, plus keeping me more flexible and feeling less like 'a tin man who needs oiling'!!

How do you know, rookie?

In any event, I see nothing wrong with meditation, I mean after all Buddism worked for Tina Turner (she did get rid of Ike).

The 4 noble truths are to buddhism as the 9 Satanic statements are to Satanism. If you disagree with them you are not a buddhist. Meditation however is a different matter. I personally practice meditation borrowing methods from buddhism and a few other religions but I do not call myself a buddhist.
