I know it sounds ludicrous but I heard today that LaVey had stayed in a hotel in Bradford (UK). I can find no references to it on the net and suspect it's nonsense. Anyone shed any light on it?

It seems the rumour stems from a confusion between the author of the Satanic Bible and the Satanic Verses. Mr Rushdie has indeed visited Bradford.
