Today is the birthday of one of the most influential mentors in my life, Dr. Anton LaVey. Dr. LaVey can easily be credited with being one of the very few men to have such a large impact on our society and our way of life. He helped me understand who I was, he helped me answer the questions that had been haunting me for most of my early life. He was an outstanding example of how life should be lived and how to savor each moment. In short, he was a great man … and for this I will raise my glass in honor of his accomplishments and his life!

You are honored even in death my friend though you are missed greatly.

He speaks to Me daily in the words I read in which he has penned. He makes Me laugh even though he is not beside Me. He still teaches Me valuable lessons on a daily basis. Mere words alone will never repay nor convey what the Good Doktor has given Me.

Although I have never met Dr. Lavey in person, I can only imagine what a wonderfull person he was.

Through his books I have the feeling I know him a little. His books thought me the most inportant things in life.

Let me raise with you a glass, for a toast to the man I respect most in my life!

I too commend Dr. LaVey - there is so much that I learned from his words that I'm sure I would be a completely different person had I never come across his work. (And despite what some might say, I would be much worse off.)

He is missed, but his legacy carries on.
