Doing God's Will

Joking aside, it's very understandable that you have mixed feelings about this.

Traditional religions manifest their effects on us in many ways both obvious and subtle -- especially when we're indoctrinated into them from birth.

The decision about whether to keep the cross over your bed seems simple enough on the surface, right?

If you want it there, keep it there. If you don't, don't. And that is indeed all there is to that.

The real issue, of course, is that you're not sure what you want.

One way to test the waters is to go ahead and take it down. Put it somewhere safe. There's no need to destroy it. Just leave it safely tucked away for a week or two.

Then -- when/if the thought occurs to you -- ask yourself if you would rather put it back up.

At that point, you'll know what you want to do.

Be true to yourself, be what you want to be, but Satanism might not be your trip in the very end. It's not a shame, as Satanism isn't for everyone.

Indeed. To embrace Satanism to "fit in" would be to utterly miss the point.

I agree with what you said. I also could not help but think of "The Mod Squad" when I read the above quote. "Jesus is a bad scene, Man."

I'm wondering why this thread is 4 pages long for such a simple matter...

"Great minds..."

Strange how that phrase is used a lot, but not true in any sense as most great minds don't think alike whatsoever.

We could probably stretch it for 6 just talking about how long it is.

But it is simple really, simple questions attract a lot of answers. The harder a question, or 'discussion topic', the less likely people are to attempt it. Unless of course it is a particularly interesting topic.

So, um... how 'bout them crosses? \:D

The largest thread I have found so far is the one on time travel. This one will catch up to it in three weeks...unless I messed up the space-time continuum.

Actually, it caught up to the time travel thread twenty-six years ago, but due to the effects of time dilation, it will seem like three weeks from now.

That thread would be twice as long if I had mentioned I used to have a Delorean. But I didn't want to create controversy...
