Ladies and Gentlemen,

I understand many in the priesthood had been directly appointed

by Mr. LaVey. If I had such an appointment, and from the founder

of the organization I have commited my life too, i'd be offended

at someone addressing them incorrectly. So, when I reference

Anton LaVey, what would be a proper title, as not to offend.


This is only in regards to questions, I very well know I do not

qualify in making comments about Anton LaVey.

His close associates called him Herr Doktor, or Dr. LaVey, in the same manner that some musicians in the 1920's and 30's would be called "professor".

Using his full name, or Mr. LaVey is suitable.

Being as I am not a close associate, and I do not represent the CoS, simply calling him Lavey seemed disrespectful. Doktor seems out of line as well.

As founder of the organisation many people also refer to him as Magus LaVey; just as we formally address current High Priest Peter Gilmore, Magus Gilmore.

It seems more are concerned about there own title as "Satanist".

Being a good consumer, and observing this message board for many months, I notice lack of proportion. The title they wear on the street, couldn't buy them coffee. Always forgetting they did not build this house, but are just visiting.
