That is bad ass! We did the exact same thing this past October while in Las Vegas - here are the pics we came up with:

They all are.

Each balances the other as needed.

Context is everything.

I'm in agreement with Magister Nemo on this. My personal favorites, though, would be lust, greed, pride, and gluttony. In my experiences these 4 intertwine the most. Maybe they could be all wrapped up into one??

Awww, you're a dear.

Most of you guys tend to make me the opposite of angry. ;\)

But, stick me in front of a newspaper, or a movie or TV show with stupid or frustrating characters, and I'll screech like a banshee.

While watching TV--aside from when I watch cartoons--I can barely go five minutes without commanding somebody to DIE or SUCK IT or FALL IN A WOODCHIPPER FOR THE LOVE OF GOD ALREADY, or telling them they're TOO STUPID TO LIVE. Granted, I'm usually having fun while I'm venting, but the sentiments and feelings are usually more-or-less real and genuine, and come out of an actual place.

I've got very high standards as to what separates worthiness from worthlessness, stupidity from insight, injustice from justice, bad conduct from good conduct. So, when stupidity, injustice, worthlessness, and bad conduct win the day, I react with dark and ironic humor or seething rage, or, more often, a volatile combo of the two.

When I can't freely express that frustration to an understanding party or audience, and/or I can't solve the problem in any real and permanent way, steam builds up. Venting appropriately lets off some steam.

A sizable part of this anger is what fuels my desire to write. I write the best satire and the most biting commentary when I am at just the right level of frustration. If I'm not passionate--extremely sad, extremely happy, or extremely pissed-- about a matter, the writing just tends to lack that special something. So, it's also a matter of balance; remaining passionate enough to feel creatively inspired and enlivened, but not getting so steeped in certain emotions so that I stop having fun overall.

But, 99% of the time, I make a point to never take that anger out on people directly, and I often find that it is rather easy for people to inspire empathy in me--if only a tiny bit--once I interact with them in the flesh or cyber-flesh. The people who don't do that for me are either truly awful to the core, or they keep picking fights.

Amen to that.

Zamo says a LOT of things I can't get away with actually saying. I actually have one strip I won't publish until my mother's mother dies, just to keep the family peace. Of course, sometimes she's just an obnoxious iguana shooting her mouth off for her own amusement, but that's just sometimes. Also, some are quieter comics, coming from a more curious/"isn't that weird?" observational state, but the funniest ones came out of some sort of strong emotion.

I find the act of writing in itself keeps me from getting so steeped in those emotions. It's a form of venting in itself.

Yes, exactly. Cute comic, by the way!

I, too, have characters who say horrible, vicious things that I could never say, and go after targets I can't attack directly in my daily life. They make Zamo look like Gandhi.

Art can be a great way to vent.

I would have to say that the "sin" that appears most in my nature would be vanity. I cannot walk past a mirror without looking at myself, and making sure that I approve of my appearance. I spend about an hour in front of the mirror on a good day. On a bad day it could range from an hour to two. In my eyes I find myself to be very beautiful, and love to look at myself. Although I do not wear a lot of make-up I personally have to make sure I look good for myself. In turn I feel if I look good to myself other people will see this as well. Not that I care to much of what people think of me.

Wrath is something I show often as well as strongly believe in. If you piss me off you deserve to be yelled at, and if you know me well enough you would know not to do so. I think that everyone should voice their opinion if someone offends you or gets on your nerves.

I can also be very greedy. I want more and more and i cannot get enough of a good thing.

For the others I'm sure I do them for it is in my nature. They just do not stand out as much as these three. At least not to me.

Vanity for me, certainly.
And greed.
Most important two for me.
More prominent than important...

Thanks!

Zamo fell asleep halfway through the History Channel bio on Ghandi, but what she took away from the idea of non-violent protest is that you can get what you want without bothering to do anything about it. Sounds like a philosophy an iguana can really get behind. ;\)

Ha!

I don't think the iguana's the only one who's gotten behind that kind of idea.

ooooooooooooh boyee do I lust to thrust. Let em take away your pride and they've basically took your life. Man o Man can i eat like a beast when engulfed with the munchies(YUM YUM YUMMY MY TUMMY TUMMY TUMMY :]) And I'm sure I've made great use of all the other wrongs in the eyes of the ones bread on the retarted farm.

P.S. I dedicate these lyrics from one of my songs to the sicker than the most sick. it goes

LEFT-HAND-PATH I got to survive, I got to do what i got to do to stay alive, I aint the right hand because I'm the man...bowing down before you is not my plan.

I'd say that I am 100% sin and that my "Favored sins" can go from 0-100% in the blink of an eye.
