What is death to me?
Well, since I'm not a New Age hippie or a romantic,
death is not a transistion, but rather a system failure.
GIVE ME NANOBOTS!!!! Before I became the
DARKNESS I
am today, I might have died for my country, for my family,
one of my best friends, or for some flighty, ethereal ideal.
NO LONGER.
Would I serve in the United States military (if I weren't
presently obese and possibly "Section 8"?). If I felt that
I was properly trained, I would (if I had no better way
to support myself, and if I believed that strongly in the
cause). But remember, the definition of war is the gaining
of ground and the modus operandi of a military campaign are
"to kill people and break things". To send someone to "war"
to do anything other than to gain ground,to kill people, and
to break things is not war.
CONFUSION CAN KILL! The only reason that I would die, is because I had suffered
an irreparable systems crash (trauma, etc.) that I was not
prepared to deliver myself from.
However, this is not my desire nor my design.
When I am able to get my underwriting approved, I will
be signing up for cryonic suspension.
(This is a backup plan to said "nanobots" or the advancement
of medical technology). And I am working on archiving my DNA,
right now.

I (while still being "sane") would never die for anything,
for the same reason I do not support socialism or use
the "God" of my parents for a security blanket:
"Those who would trade freedom for security, deserve
neither freedom, nor security."
Why place yourself at the mercy of external forces, (with
whom you may not be familiar) needlessly?
I say live as long and as well as you can!
If you can cheat death, cheat him.
If you can beat death, beat him.
But never give up your present anchor unless you
can get into another anchor immediately.
(And you KNOW THAT YOU KNOW what you are doing!)
"Skin jump." I do not know how to do this yet.
To willingly leave your anchor,
would sort of be like traveling to a car lot
in Wisconsin or Minnesota on the worst storm day
of the century: They may buy your trade-in, but
unless you can drive off of the lot in an upgrade,
do you really like your chances of getting home
safely?? (Wherever "home" may be.)
Also, if you live long enough, you can rewrite history.
