Hello, I don't understand something in the S.B. In the 7th Satanic Statement, it says, "Satan represents man as just another animal, sometimes better, more often worse than those that walk on all-fours, who, because of his "divine spiritual and intellectual" development, has become the most vicious animal of all!".

It sounds disgusting, contemptuous, or even distasteful. If so, why do we exclaim, "Hail Satan"? Wouldn't that seem like a contradiction?

Can someone please help enlighten me a little further on this? Thanks.

If you find the facts about the human animal distasteful then it would be contradictory for you to "Hail, Satan!"

If, however, you accept the nature of the human animal, for good or ill, and how that nature has made man the top of the food chain, well, it might be worth a Hail or two.

It is the very lack of self-deceit that empowers us.

Hi, maybe I should clarify a little...It's not me who find the facts about the human animal distasteful. I was only thinking of it coming from the view of another person who would see it as differently.

We don't play for other people.

If they find our tenets wanting, that only serves to cull the herd.
