this question may have been answered in another forum that i cant find, why didnt the cos keep the black house instead of letting the real estate company destroy it?

why should i not hate mine enemys?-if i "love" them does that not place mr at their mercy?

Suffice to say that while the Black House will always remain an inspiration for those of us lucky enough to have visited, and an image of the early CoS, it was a private residence.

Private residences are not eternal and are vulnerable to the vagaries of laws and familial changes.

I see no reason why you should want or need more information than that.
