I am the President of an artist guild and we're currently using Yahoo Groups, which is not meeting our needs at all. I'm wondering how difficult it is to do programing for a forum like LttD. I'm somewhat computer savvy (more so with Macs). The guild forum wouldn't need to be nearly as large, maybe 5 areas to post under (new member introductions, general discussion, announcements, etc.) I'm hoping to do this myself, so I was wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction, maybe by way of useful books or websites. Finally, if I was able to do the program, what do you think the annual fee for a small forum would be?

Thanks!

The link isn't working for me. It says UBB Error/Access Denied. BTW, I like your new avatar.

Well, the content, the gist of it, was http://www.forumcircle.com Webspace specifically for forums, for free if necessary, with advertising, as well as the tools to help create forums, etc.

Here is a link to a free one that I've used before. With this one you can ban people by IP address and edit every bit of it to your liking. http://www.runboard.com/

Invisionfree used to be the best free forum host but it looks like GOONS have hacked it and ruined it for now.
