I was so busy last night looking through the forums that I never introduced myself. I thought I would tell you all a little about myself and my "religious journey" so to speak.
Well, I am 18 years old from NY. (Do not ever come here in the winter, it's cold!) I live with my parents for the moment, but after I have the baby I will be moving and going to school to be a Skin Care Specialist.
I finally decided to let my parents know I wasn't Christian at 15, because at 15 they can't really FORCE you to go to church. Well, my mom wasn't too upset (my dad could care less) But she said she wanted me to believe something, so I started looking into lots of other religions and finally my journey has led me here. I am tired of reading about these religions that have all these fluffy, love everyone overtones. Sorry, but I can't love everyone, thats stupid. I picked up one of Lavey's books (I read "The satanic Witch" first) and I was blown away.
So basically I am here to ask tons of questions as they come to me and I would just ask you all to be patient, as I am sure I will ask lots of stupid questions. But I figure I will never know if I don't ask.

So basically I am here to ask tons of questions as they come to me and I would just ask you all to be patient, as I am sure I will ask lots of stupid questions. But I figure I will never know if I don't ask. Wrong. You'll never know if you don't study Satanic literature. Your answers are found there, not on an internet message board. You will not find many around here who are willing to spoon feed you information that can easily be found by doing your own research. Besides, why take anyone's word for something when you can find it out on your own? Many of us have experienced the excitement that you felt upon discovering Satanism. But this message board is a place for Satanists to communicate with one another and discuss ideas. While I'm certain that we've all learned a thing or two from others here (and yes, asked a question on occasion), it's not the main purpose of the site. Good luck to you on your journey. It's a grand experience.

I second that. There is lots of information here, but if it doesn't come from the hierarchy I'd ignore it until confirmed by reading one of the authorised tomes.
On the other hand it's just occurred to me that I'm not a member of the hierarchy, so feel free to ignore me as instructed.

What they are trying to say, is that if you are sharp enough, most of your questions will be answered simply by reading the literature. Everything is fairly clear, to the point, and straightforward when digested with a hearty spoonful of common-sense. As complex, diverse, and multilayered as Satanism is, it is, at it's core, actually quite simple. I guess I will just have to keep reading. There are several pieces of key literature that I haven't been able to get my hands on as of yet, so I really need to work on it.( I have to rely on my bf to get me allot of books from his GIANT freakin library in Buffalo, so sometimes I just have to wait) Though I HAVE been reading through allot of the Essays on the COS website, so thats something to keep my mind busy.

"You must be," said the Cat, "otherwise you wouldn't have come here." Alice didn't think that proved it at all: however she went on. "And how do you know that you're mad?" "To begin with," said the Cat, "a dog's not mad. You grant that?" "I suppose so," said Alice. "Well, then, " the Cat went on, "you see a dog growls when it's angry, and wags its tail when it's pleased. Now I growl when I'm pleased, and wag my tail when I'm angry. Therefore I'm mad."

I just found out I am having a boy and we call him Guppy as a nickname because in his ultrasound pics he looks kinda like a fishy. Guppy is a great name for a cat, too. (mine are all silly, thanks to my sister, she's 8)

I just found out I am having a boy and we call him Guppy as a nickname because in his ultrasound pics he looks kinda like a fishy. Now, that may be downright difficult on the boy! Maybe let him grow into a knickname that may be more fitting for his mature self. Like mine! Signed: Roho "the Horse" Rooster

How did you get that name? It's all the hay and oats you eat, right?
