That other thread is getting way too long

Just to re-state ... The Ability to subscribe as discussed in the other thread is now active, you can subscribe either on LttD by going to "My Stuff" and then to "Subscriptions", follow the instructions from there. Once you subscribe on LttD (if you have an account), please message me with your username there so I can upgrade your account.

On the Undercroft you first need to create an account and then click upgrade and follow the instructions. Once you subscribe on the Undercroft you need to send me a message with your LttD Username.

Starting this weekend I will begin the transformation on LttD ... First stage is to re-arrange the board and change the forum permissions. If you are not subscribed you will notice things "disappearing", just FYI.

Now subscribed for a year and in that time it should give me time to gather the funds for a life membership.

I recommend and encourage all CoS members to get on board because its well worth it for many reasons (previously mentioned).

I tried subscribing through LttD for the lifetime membership but when being transferred to Paypal, it said that it was an invalid link.

I was able to make payment to Paypal through the link on the Undercroft site.

Ah, Yes I see, it only effects Lifetime subscriptions. I am looking into it. I believe it is something I did in order to make the Undercroft Subscriptions system work more efficiently.

I would say for now, everyone should do as you did, head over to the undercroft and subscribe there.

Magister, I will subscribe Lifetime at a later time. When I subscribe annual now, will there be an option to later cancel the annual subscription and make it Lifetime, without losing anything in either LttD or Undercroft? (Doing the math, 30 years @ $36.66 per comes to $1099.80. Quite a bargain at $196.66!)

Well it is technically more than 30 years, it only allows me to put a max of 30 years here ...

But, yes at anytime you can just go into subscriptions and choose the lifetime and it should take care of it all!

I think that with the different subscriptions available most people should be able to find something that works for them. I don't drop by here that often at the moment so the monthly option would probably suit me at present, but I would have no problem with paying the lifetime option, as I have utilized this board for years on and off and always enjoyed my time spent here.

I have been using the internet for quite some time and can honestly say there is no other forum that I know of quite like this one. And that comes from someone who has never even been beyond the "kennel," as I have seen it called (fondly I hope)!

Personally I will cherish the opportunity to give something back for a change; for all the tireless and talented work you have put into this site over the years Magister.

I encountered problems subscribing to the 'annual' payment plan via the Undercroft: While I still managed to reach PayPal, I received a message stating that the transaction could not be completed after I tried to pay.

After two more tries, I subscribed via Lttd - which worked perfectly fine. I don't know if this is also due to some particular problem regarding PayPal, but I thought I should report this.

Anyway, thank you & 'makoto arigatou gozaimasu' for your unending efforts!

Magister Ventrue, when you get a chance please look into my account, I have paid for LTTD and Undercroft, but I have a e-mail saying that I didn't pay for undercroft, (The email Hello Leviathan1972, Your subscription for Yearly Paid Subscription was suspended because of failed payment. That was a bug in the system. I have fixed it but it did not change anything about your subscription. Both your accounts are active and working!

Yes, but it is done that way for a reason ... easier to control the amount of crap non-cos Free Members would put on their pages ... i.e. links to other groups ... distorting the page format ... etc.

I have to upgrade the CoS Members Manually ... so it takes a little time, usually not more than 24 hours. I will work on yours!

I have subscribed for a one year membership. I, too, will be going for the lifetime membership when my renewal comes due next year.

I believe everyone should take advantage of signing up. The fee for a one year membership is not that expensive at all.

I gladly paid my membership fee. I cannot even imagine how Magister Ventrue keeps all of this straight for us. This website, LttD, and Undercroft are run with such excellence!

Paying to belong makes me proud that I can contribute to such a website that has someone at the helm that watches everything, and keeps these sites safe.
