I just wanted to give fair warning that the Subscription plans will be changing and the rates will increase starting 01-11-2009. Now that the Undercroft is out of Beta and Officially open, the introductory period has past. If you were thinking of upgrading ... this week would be the best time as you can still get in at the current low rates.

Current Subscription Users will NOT be affected by this price increase. You will be renewed at your current rate (unless you cancel your subscription) when your renewal time comes up. Also all current Lifetime Subscribers are also not affected by this. If you have any questions please let me know!

Ah, French Lady you beat me to asking the very same question.

Here is the breakdown of the new subscription pricing:

1 Month (monthly) = $6.66
3 Month (quarterly) = $19.66
6 Month (bi-annual) = $36.66
12 Month (yearly) = $56.66
Lifetime (forever) = $296.66

Again, these new prices will only apply to new or changed subscriptions once they are in effect on 01-11-09

If you are planning to upgrade at some point after 01-11-09 the new pricing would be what your upgrade would cost. Since the subscriptions are handled by paypal, I have no way of "changing" your subscription manually. When you change your subscription (in this example from monthly to yearly) the system will cancel your current subscription and then sign you up for the next subscription level you choose.

This may sound stupid, but I can't find how to upgrade. Could you please point me in the right direction?
If I don't get an answer before this evening, I'll cancel my subscription and re-subscribe to yearly before the change takes place. I guess you wouldn't need to re-upgrade my account to VIP, since there would be a few days overlap with my current subscription?

Yes, sadly on the LttD Subscription system you have to go to Paypal and cancel the Monthly and then come back here and subscribe to the Yearly.

If you use the Undercroft System, you are able to choose an upgrade plan and it takes care of everything for you.

If already on a yearly subscription (such as I) and it has been paid, when upgrading to life membership (which I am looking to do), is the current subscription price of the yearly deducted from the price of the life membership??

Sadly, no, the subscription system is not designed to handle that. It either has to be done manually by me or you should wait to upgrade when your subscription is close to expiring.
