If a person or group of people are interested in Satanism how should this be approached? Also, if you know people who share the same ideals as Satanism but have not seen it as anything but what the Media presents then what should you do?

Generally when one realizes that they are a Satanist they will have one of two reactions--they either want to keep this good thing all to themselves, or they want to shout from the tree tops about this wonderful thing they have found.

The issue then becomes whether the Satanist wants to react for themselves, for the betterment of Satanism all together, or for those the new Satanist has identified as being likely a Satanist as well.

Since we don't recruit and we aren't going anywhere, it is highly unlikely that "teaching" will bring about something that might better the Church of Satan or Satanism.

Since the genuine Satanist should have all the intellectual skills to make the discovery about Satanism for themselves, it is also unlikely forcing them to the water hole will help them, either.

So, finally, what is it YOU want by pointing them in the right direction? Gratitude? Friends who understand? Now, wanting to engage with people of a like mind is what comes with being a social animal, so wanting to point and connect is not necessarily a bad thing...........

But

the best Satanists are those who have made a journey of self-discovery and have spent each moment learning and earning the knowledge for themselves. By not hand feeding we get more prepared, more righteously proud Satanists.



If they share Satanic ideals they are unlikely to be fooled by mundane expressions of devil worship, etc....They will inherently feel that what is being demonstrated could not possibly be correct regarding Satanism. That should, if they are interested, set them off to find the truth.

Now, there is nothing wrong with clarifying a misinterpretation. Telling a friend that something isn't really Satanic, and that they should check out the CoS website or read The Satanic Bible is how many of us got here. But beyond that, nothing is as valuable to a person, Satanic or not, than that which they discover for themselves.
