I'm having difficulty changing my avatar.

When I tried to upload a new image the window popped up to select the file, but the file didn't show up in the field next the browse button.

I also tried the URL option, but wasn't having any success with that either.

I had to use an "existing avatar", I have several that I have used before, but none of them work. Did you ever get an answer to this question?

I have similar issues. Whenever I try to change my avatar, the only thing that seems to change are the dimensions of my current avatar. I've tried selecting "I no longer want to have an avatar" and then uploading a fresh one and that doesn't seem to help either.

Have you tried hitting your browser's "refresh" button once the new avatar has been uploaded?

No, that's the only thing I haven't tried. I will have to test that. I'll reply if it's still a problem.

I have also tried uploading a new avatar, and tried the suggestion of the refresh button. None seem to work. When I click on the file to open for upload it does not even appear in the box for it. Not sure what to try now.

Hello Adrasteia,

it seems like uploading avatars works fine for me, only like Priestess LKRice said, it takes a refresh to show up.

Do you use Firefox or another browser?

Does your picture fit the criteria (smaller than 180x220 and either .gif, .jpg or .png)?

One other thing I could think of: Did you click the radio button next to the text "Upload your avatar (Your image must be smaller than 180x220 pixels; .gif, .jpg, .png accepted)"?

I remember I forgot that once and it doesn't work without clicking it.

Thanks Skyla, tried the suggestions, and now it worked. Thank you.
