I think I see where you're coming from, and I'm glad we now have a clear situation.

Personally I don't give to any charity that doesn't help someone I know. I give to cancer charities most often, because my wife was diagnosed with hodgkins at a pretty young age and it has had a toll. Eighty percent or so of the worlds population live in coastal regions. This just happens to be on almost every Fault line we know of, the rest are under water, so at some point I have to say "move, or deal with it".
