I posted this downstairs but it is worth sharing up here too.
On 19 May XXXIX A.S. I was pulled over by the local law enforcement for some vehical violations. In WisconSIN it is illegal to alter the color of license plate marker lights(I did not know this) and very illegal to remove a cat. converter. Well my lights are red not stock white and I have no cat converter because it fell off so I have just a straight pipe 'til I have money for a new one and I have a glasspack muffler(glass pack is legal). While pulling out my driver license I pulled out my red card by accident. The officer looked right at it with his flashlight and for some strange reason got very wide eyed. He grabbed my license and went back to his car. Meanwhile I'm expecting a large ticket he comes back, quickly hands back my license and gives me a verbal warning and goes back to his car. When I pulled away he still sat there. So, what I wonder was it the Red Card or just luck.

My wife was thinking the same thing. It is possible we just might never know.

Very interesting story. You stated that the Officer became wide-eyed after viewing. You also claim that he continued to sit along the roadside after you pulled off. It very well may be, that he himself carried a Red Card. However, could it be, that he was raised on an unhealthy diet of Christian frightfests. Perhaps he became so terrified upon viewing your Red Card, he considered it within his best interests to get you long gone. Either way, your Red Card saved the day.
