I noticed that Magister Ventrue is sponsoring an Adopt-A-Bat program:
Evening Eclipse Adopt-A-Bat Program

The Bat God Camazotz surely keeps a perch at his right wing for Magister Ventrue.

Of all creatures useful to man, bats rank near the top. They eat pests and pollinate crops. Helping them, therefore, is Satanic on three levels: self-interest, respect for animals, and the aesthetic of Dracula and Batman.

Currently bat populations are being decimated by White-nose Syndrome, which you can learn more about here:

Permit me this fond childhood memory/indulgence:

Since we are on the topic of bats, I was wondering if you or anyone else on the forum, knew what kind of personality bats have. Is it a general personality (like canines) or varied (human-like)? I know very little and would like to expand my knowledge since I have been entertaining the thought of adopting one as a familiar.

As a familiar? Do you mean, like keeping a bat as a pet?

I just recommend against that altogether.

As for personality, all of them I've seen pretty much acted like vicious flying rodents. I've captured exactly one (relocation from an urban area where it was unwelcome to a pasture) and it mostly hung out, shit, and got hissy if I looked too closely at it. Personally I was glad to see it go, I was happy to help it out but I don't think it wanted to be friends.
