I was doing some research on religion and came across the Nine Satanic Statements and i had to learn more. I do believe i have found what i was looking for... Something that makes sense! I only have a short time to do research here (THANK YOU FOR THE SOURCES PAGE!) and plan on going to the bookstore tomorrow. Any advice insight etc. is welcomed.

Well, if you have not already done this, the source page to visit is www.churchofsatan.com and the book to buy tomorrow is The Satanic Bible by Anton Szandor LaVey.

As you've most likely already read, the Satanic Bible is the core book in Satanic Philosophy and method, so make sure you read and re-read it. In it, you will be either shocked by the savagery of LaVey's writings, or be held in awe by his brilliance and logic. Satanists find reflection and illumination within this Diabolical book, for it is within its pages that one realises their full potential. "Satanists are born, not made" is indeed true and one will find that terminology defined in the Satanic Bible.

I broadly see Satanic Literature defined by two categories; Philosophy/Logic and Dogma/Ritual. The Satanic Bible has both of these, however there are many other books by Church of Satan members that expand upon these concepts. It is widely suggested that when one finishes the Satanic Bible, they purchase The Satanic Scriptures by Peter H. Gilmore, the current High Priest. His book provides a "bridging" so to speak over the 40 years of Satanism.

Good luck with your readings, and enjoy your stay.

Welcome!

I would like to mention that Magister Sass has written extensively on how one could pursue the literature of Satanism in his essay DEEP SATANISM. I have found it most beneficial and wish I had such a systematic order when I first read the books.
