Just a question, for all to answer, what are your beverages of choice for ritual? I am especially fond of Godiva chocolate liquer mixed with various other liquor(s).

I've never used an elixir but I'm currently waiting on my first batch of home made wine to ferment out. Maybe I'll try using some of it if it comes out right.

I use Mr Celeriac's patented "Slap Of Satan" cocktail: 1/3 Absinthe, 1/3 Aftershock, 1/3 Red Bull. It'll put hairs on the chest of even the most oestrogen-infused curvy femme form (yes, that means you too, sCara ) and for the blokes it provides a guaranteed sex life, no matter how badly your face has been hit with a sledge hammer.

That really depends on my personal frame of mind prior to the ritual, and the ambience/goals of the ritual itself. For a more "powerful" ambience, I prefer a Manhattan or straight Bourbon. For lust rituals, I tend to steer closer to red wine or Absinthe; something on the sweeter or fragrant side.
Alcoholic beverages far from dominate my choices, though. On a hot summer eve, I have found that fruit juices or water, the basic Elixer of Life, suits my chalice just fine.
Hail Satan!

My choice would be appleade. It inspires great feeling in me and tastes great.

Forgive me if I am misinformed on this subject, but I was under the impression that Absinth was illegal in the US? Is it just banned for sale in the US or is owning and consumption illegal also? I've long wanted to try this drink, but have always been told that it's not available. Thank you for any info you can provide.

Absinthe cannot be purchased in the U.S., but it can be shipped into the country. There are several good labels, and some that are not so good. Personally, I like the Un Emile 68, and Un Emile 68 'Sapin' available via Liqueurs de France - Absinthe Online. But there are other brands from which to choose.

I'm not sure about the specifics of its legality, but Logan Fils Absinthe can be purchased in the US, and the brand's website claims (with apparent credibility) that theirs is the only absinthe still made the 19th century way--with alcohol distilled from wine. Even so, this "true" absinthe goes for over $200 per bottle, so you may be better off looking at the less authentic brands.
