I'm having flashbacks to the film "Die Hard With A Vengeance" where Bruce Willis is walking naked in Harlem, wearing a sandwich board stating, "I hate niggers".

I've never seen a better example of the First Rule of the Earth.

As a general rule, I don't think its awfully smart to offend ANYONE with a firearm, especially someone whose job is to protect you. A line comes to mind from V for Vendetta:

"What do you think's going to happen?"

"What normally happens when people without guns stand up to people with guns."

Of course this was a completely different situation...
