I'm curious to see what jobs the members of the Church of Satan (and others) have, or your means of supporting yourself. Just curious about the diversity of jobs. I've heard of Church of Satan members having real good jobs with computers and such, but what about plant work? Anyone sweating it out in a factory? I've worked about three months in a plant and about three months at a local Walmart, myself. Unfortunatly I got let go from both haha.

My first job was delivering newspapers, then working in a bingo hall (I hated it), then 4 years in the military. I've also had one of those "legal but not socially acceptable" jobs.
I worked in insurance (everything from broker to claims adjuster) for more than fifteen years, not entirely by choice. I always joke that insurance is like the mafia. I kept trying to get out and the industry kept sucking me back in. It wasn't a field that made me feel good about myself at the end of the day.
Eventually I escaped and now I work in operations for a recycling company. Basically I work at a computer all day co-ordinating incoming and outgoing shipments. Shift work. It's oddly fulfilling. No more dresses and high heels. No more trying to fit a life into a 9-5 schedule. I work with some great people and there are some nice perks to the job. And it pays the bills with a little left over.

I've done damn near everything. In no particular order, I've worked for the police, done various manufacturing and refining, roughneck (oilfield), welding, wrenching (oilfield construction), book store, etc.
First job was in the kitchen of a Mexican restaurant; I was the only white guy to ever work there. Main perk was free lunch.

I have been working since I was fourteen, starting out as a busboy at a busy restaurant, and working my way up to a line cook. I did that kind of shit for a few years before getting into retail, which was a huge mistake, to be honest. I worked at a Gamestop for a couple of years, and then when I got kicked out of my house, I did various warehouse jobs until I landed a job at a grocery store. Somehow I ended up in security after that, and now I handle security administration for IBM. What that means, in a nutshell, is that I don't do jack shit, (not because I'm lazy; there just isn't jack shit TO DO...) and get paid pretty well for it. But with a baby on the way, and my wife being a workaholic, she has insisted that I quit after her maternity leave and stay home with the kid.
Personally, I think she is nuts and should get that checked out. I will still be working of course, and right now I am just finishing up a computer certification so I can fix peoples *cough* "broken" computers. (Honestly, do you know just how tough it is to really BREAK one of these things?) I am also looking into a primo job delivering newspapers at night.
Oh yes, the working world has treated me well, it has!

It's easy, hit it with a hammer, pour any beverage into the box while looking at youtube, set it aflame. I just shoot mine. Like many who have posted here, I have had many jobs as well. No one can say we're a lazy lot with any truth. I started working, under the table, at a young age as a janitor for a parking lot, then advanced to a gynecology clinic. Since then I have worked at wal-mart, jack-in-the-box, a few werehouses on the production line, in shipping/recieving, as a computer technician, in a porno store, as a blackjack dealer and later a pit-boss. I also did my tattoo and piercing apprenticeships while doing those jobs, and today I tattoo by day and paint by night. To many humans, a job is a definition. People ask 'what do you do?' and they actually mean 'how do you generate income?' Don't be fooled by their poor word choice, tell them what you do, not what your job is. I think it's important for Satanists to not lose sight that what one does for money is simply a tool to get you where you want to go, make the best of what you have, and always desire more. Work towards those desires constantly and by any means. Don't let your job control you, it is a tool that YOU use, not the other way around, always keep the proper perspective.
