I have a long standing tradition of listening to the album "Witchcraft Destroys Minds & Reaps Souls" by Coven on Halloween or birthdays or other such "holy days"; It gives me a very strong magical sensation.
I bought the deluxe CD re-issue that has the full artwork, lyric sheet, etc. To me it's an aesthetically great package, even aside from the music. I'm going to have to dig that out.
There's also this gem - similar to Coven:
On a related note, I've seen so many people spread the delusion that Black Sabbath was the first and only rock band who made use of devilish themes and occult trappings. History of course proves otherwise. Hell, even if we just look at that same time period of 1968-1970 or so, there was almost an occult genre of sorts going on with Coven, Black Widow, White Witch, Lucifer's Friend, Pentagram, etc. Even bands like the Rolling Stones and Deep Purple
had dabbled in the themes by '68.
