It would be nice if you were able as a registered member to rate posts, and your seniority or some other convention, would give your rating more weight than a new member, and that you could sort search results or maybe all posts by rating, so you could immediately hit the best without digging.

Just a thought, I am sure has been mentioned before.

Once upon a time there was a thread/post rating function. It was somewhat useful being able to know which posts to avoid because of a one- or two-star rating.

I agree. Some posts are also very excellent and yet I have nothing else to add except "I like this." A post rating system would be good for these cases.

"My dear Insurgent you're an extremist, intolerant and you have prejudices. That's all." - some guy on here who got banned a decade ago

"I am a fucking Satanist and desire in all of my being to be the Queen of the World if at all possible...." - some chick on here

I'm only replying in the affirmative to maybe give some weight to the idea. This would definately help with separating the "wheat from the chaff'.
