I have writing to be published into a book; however have any writers out there found a way to compile a book without necessarily finding a publisher, or selling their material over to a half arsed self publishing company who then might own your material.

Any experiences or suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks.. there are a couple of nice options around, looks good.

Although a lot of nasty publishing groups as well not delivering on paid services

What's the reason for publishing it?

We're fast approaching a moment in time when consumption of almost all content is done digitally. Books are arguably the last hold out, arguably because they're furniture, but if you're looking to publish something in order to monetize it there are other ways to go (where you can also exercise greater control over the material).

I beleive publication can bring better recognition. Editing is not my strength either so would definitely appreciate the skills publishing company's could offer.

Yes digital age for sure but i still love the feeling of a book in my hands
