"Kissing ass."

I find this term used quite often here in the public forums.

Someone wishes to agree with a CoS Priesthood member and I read how they disclaim that they are not “kissing ass”.

Folks, this is a trick used to inhibit your freedom to think and judge!

Agreeing with someone who has power in this or that domain is nothing more than agreement.

It is only when you are concerned with what others “might think” that this idea comes up.

Don’t let this happen to you.

If you are expressing what you think, you do not have to apologize for it nor make excuses for it.

You might wish to consider that you might be insulting a professional assassin if your former habits have been to always insult instead of being courteous.

Beyond that, I would suggest you see through this clever way of preventing you from being able to freely agree with someone especially if they are a member of the Priesthood.

You cannot "kiss ass" if you mean what you say.

Neither do you have to kick ass with everyone you meet.

You can, in fact, just drop the entire “ass” issue.

I wouldn't be on this forum if the views didn't coincide with my own or at the bare minimum, at least interest me.

However... I feel no need to kiss an ass ANYWHERE, regarding ANY view I have, and I think you would all agree that this ideology is in keeping with the true belief of Satanism...

You are correct, Magister. In the past I've been frustrated to express admiration and gratitude to those who deserve it (whoever they may be)...because there are those that constantly compliment them or something they have done. So I have stopped altogether with such a disclaimer as, "not kissing ass, but...". I've felt it sends the wrong message.

If someone is worth it, first of all they usually don't need someone to tell them, and second, they have learned to discern who's sincere and who's not when complimenting.

"Kissing ass" was a term first introduced to this forum by a non-CoS member to create just this kind of hesitation. (The post is no longer here).

What a great way to undermine freedom of expression!

If I see that a member of the CoS Priesthood has written something I agree with or admire then I hesitate to post that fact because I would be seen by others as "kissing ass".

Therefore I can only agree with those not in the Priesthood.

Actually a devilishly clever way to create dissension here but - too bad! - the ploy has been exposed.

Not all of those who oppose the CoS are stupid. Some of them can tie their shoelaces on their own ... and then fall on their faces because they tied them together!

I have noticed that there are indeed individuals who seem to have a different opinion and tend to agree to anything when they answer the post of a member of the CoS Priesthood.

But I think it becomes obvious if someone just wants to "kiss ass" when you observe his postings for a while. I personally think that someone who tends to diagree with anyone, but never disagrees with a member of the CoS Priesthood, is quite suspicious.

I think, a self-confident person shouldn't have a problem to say his opinion or disagree with someone - member of the CoS Priesthood or not.

Honestly, does it need to be stated that the Church of Satan and Satanism aren't about conformity?

Now that you bring this up, I can say with full autonomy that i look forward to your posts and enjoy reading them. You always seem to bring another aspect to an old idea without changing the original intent.
