I'm very pleased to release this video. The text is comprised of a slightly truncated essay titled “The Religion of Egoism: A Prayer for More Bitterness”, written by John Erwin McCall in 1898.

The above media tag doesn't seem to work for me, I'm not sure why not. Here is a direct link:

It is thoroughly Satanic in sentiment, and I think my delivery and production ain't so bad either. Also, it's in HD and I recommend viewing it full screen with the sound up....

The essay is from a book I edited and have just released titled "A Bible Not Borrowed from the Neighbors". The writings collected there are from the contemporaries of Ragnar Redbeard, radical thinkers who went against the herd with all their might. They upheld themselves as Gods, all other concerns come after that. Blasphemous, mocking and visceral, they are the children of Nietzsche, Stirner and Thoreau. Though often overlapping with Anarchists, they are too individualistic for many so-called anarchists who are often just Socialist-minded egalitarian Utopians.

What was the purpose for making the video?

Without knowing it's specific purpose id say that for awhile it just felt like christian smashing and although I used to find it entertaining now it is just kinda a bore.

The theme was constant and well made, great sources, great speeking skill, excellent quotes but I think it would have gone to another level if you found examples of some quotes from radical thinkers who where not talking about a christian religion. I can be mistaken and just missed a few if they where there so excuse me if you did have examples of quotes not talking about the christian religions.

I thought I was pretty clear in the first post, and with the graphics at the end of the video.

The text I read was from an essay that is included in a book I just published. The point was to give an example of something from the book that was entertaining and provocative. It's a promotional video.

Most of the video was NOT about Christianity, it was about egoism - self-interest above self-sacrifice. It does play off of the Christian myth, for the same reason that Satanism does - it's socially relevant. Most English speakers who hear it will, more likely than not, be able to understand the references. That is, as compared to if he wrote about the mental slavery of Mithraism.

Also of note is the fact that the text was written in 1898.
